A northwest Oklahoma City woman is suing her former landlords, claiming a mold problem is responsible for the death of her husband.
Kimberly Wilson, 56, is suing Najaya and Samir Khalil, owners of Samara Properties, for $75,000.
Her husband, James Wilson, 40, died on October 22. The official cause of his death was listed as pneumonia. According to reports, he had some surgeries recently but was on the verge of returning to work as a locksmith.
Kimberly Wilson claims the death was the result of mold in their home at 2115 NW 32, which had been in poor condition. According to reports, Wilson said air quality sample testing showed mold was present in the home.
