Michael Jackson became the newest inductee into the National Dance Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, New York, over the weekend.
Local dancers and a twin Argentinean duo offered up tribute performances during the ceremony, which took place at the National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame on Sunday night.
"He would've appreciated this," said Marlon Jackson, the King of Pop's brother, as he accepted the award on MJ's behalf.
Museum founder Marylou Whitney, board member and Arthur Murray dance studio owner Leslie Valencia and U.S. Representative Paul Tonko, D-Schenectady, were all in attendance at the ceremony, along with board president Michele Riggi.
"We didn't have his style of dance in the hall of fame," remarked Riggi, who went on to call Jackson's talents "incredible," Troy, New York's the Record reports.
A panel of images of and quotations from Jackson were also unveiled at the ceremony.
