Czech Republic Gross Monthly Wages Rise In Q2

Gross monthly wages paid per employee in the Czech Republic increased by 1.2% between April and June compared to a year ago, official data showed on Friday.

The Czech Statistical Office said wages increased by 1.5% in the corporate sector, while it decreased 0.2% in the non-corporate sector.

The average nominal wage rose 2.4% in the same period to just over CZK 23,500. The largest wage rises were recorded in mining, electricity, gas & steam, and human health & social work.

In the first half of the year, the average nominal wage was 2.3% higher compared to the same period a year ago, while real wages climbed 1.4%.
