Whitbread Plc (WTB.L), in its trading performance for the 24 weeks to August 19, 2010, said its total sales were up by 14% and like-for-like sales increased by 7.9%.
Premier Inn sales rose 14.5%, with like-for-like sales up 10.7% and revenue per available room up 9.8%, reflecting both market growth and a continued improvement in its market share.
The company said this strong performance across Whitbread is the result of its strategy to increase market share through organic expansion and driving like-for-like sales.
