Domino's Pizza (DPZ), announced Friday the opening of its first store in Vietnam, in the country's largest city, Ho Chi Minh City. The pizza maker's entry into this new market was eased by the retail experience of Master Franchisee Vietnam Food & Beverage Service, a subsidiary of the Imex Pan Pacific Group.
Commenting on the opening, company finance chief Michael Lawton recognized that Vietnam was a "growing economy".With this, Domino's has made forays into four new countries this year, the others being Germany, Romania and the Ukraine.
On Thursday, Domino's closed at $14.41 on the NYSE.
