The TV Land network has confirmed that Daryl Hall and John Oates will receive the Music Icon Award at this year's TV Land Awards on April 10 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. It will later air on the television station on April 17 at 9 p.m.

The group rose out of the budding soul/rock scene in the 1970s and became mega-stars with their hit tracks like "Private Eyes," "Kiss On My List," "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)," "Sara Smile," "She's Gone," "Out of Touch" and "One On One."

The TV Land Awards honors the biggest names in entertainment from yesterday and today. Other honorees at this year's event include Regis Philbin and the casts of Family Ties and the Cosby Show.

This year's event has also made recent headlines as it will mark the reunion of John Travolta with his former Welcome Back Kotter cast mates.
