Tekelec (TKLC) said Monday that it signed a deal with T-Mobile Germany to provide mobile number portability technology. Tekelec stated that the deal, which extends its Eagle 5 in Tier-1 network, replaces the existing MNP-SRF solution.
Tekelec said Eagle 5, its core network platform, would manage certain traffic for T-Mobile Germany, T-Mobile U.K. and T-Mobile Netherlands. The platform also supports several applications such as MNP-SRF, short message routing, HLR and voicemail server routing, gateway functionality, and integrated data acquisition, the company said.
"Tekelec provides the synergy between signaling and number portability solutions that gives operators new levels of efficiency and savings," said Wolrad Claudy, Tekelec's senior vice president of global sales.
