Stratfor, a US think tank, hinted that another major terror attack is inevitable, in spite of Indian government's decision to shift the venue of Indian Premier League or IPL to South Africa on security concerns, media reports said.
The think tank said India faces threats from the Islamic militants, despite the decision.
The reason for shifting the venue, to some extent, is that the government will not be in a position to provide security arrangements for the tournament as well as for the general elections.
Stratfor said that it had received indications early on from Indian security sources that the prime target was IPL tournament, after Mumbai attacks in last November. It added that the Indian Intelligence is believed to have cautioned the Centre that some threat against both Indian and foreign players.
