Container Corporation of India announced that the net profit for the year ended March 31, 2009 rose to Rs.819.47 crore from Rs.752.20 crore in the prior year. Total income grew to Rs.3605.38 crore from Rs.3510.32 crore in the last year.
The company said that its net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 declined to Rs.187.66 crore from Rs.202.98 crore in the year ago quarter. Total income decreased to Rs.889.43 crore from Rs.941.27 crore in the same quarter last year, as per BSE reports.
