Centrica plc (CNA.L) to buy 20% stake in British Energy (BGY,BGY.L) from Électricité de France (EDFEF.PK), according to media reports. Under the deal Centrica will pay 2.3 billion pounds to French group EDF, reports specified.
Centrica and EDF reportedly agreed to the deal in principle last summer, but have been at standoff since because of electricity prices.
