Jagran Prakashan announced that the net profit after tax for the year ended March 31, 2009 dropped to Rs.9,163.05 lakh from Rs.9,812.57 lakh in the previous year. Total income increased to Rs.84,609.08 lakh from Rs.77,110.25 lakh in the year ago.
The company' s net profit after tax for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 grew to Rs.2181.77 lakh from Rs.1548.30 lakh in the same quarter last year. Total income grew to Rs.20770.08 lakh from Rs.19327.39 lakh in the year ago quarter.
The company recommended final dividend of 100% or Rs.2.00 per share for the year ended March 31, 2009.
