(RTTNews) -  Life Time Fitness, Inc. (LTM: News ) reported that third quarter net income was $20.6 million, or $0.51 per share, versus $21.6 million, or $0.55 per share, for 3Q 2008.

On average, 15 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.49 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Third quarter 2009 revenue grew to $214.3 million from $198.8 million during the same period last year. Fourteen analysts estimated revenues of $215.17 million.
Full year 2009 revenue is now expected to be $835-$845 million, compared to earlier guidance range of $830-$860 million. Net income is currently expected to be $71.0-$72.5 million, compared to previous range of $67.0-$71.0 million. Earnings per share is now expected to be $1.78-$1.81, compared to prior range of $1.65-$1.75.

Analysts expect the company to earn $1.74 per share, on revenues of $843.36 million.
