(RTTNews) -  International Business Machines Corp. (IBM: News ) announced the election of James McNerney, to its board of directors. IBM said its board now has 13 members with the election of McNerney.

McNerney is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of The Boeing Co. (BA: News ). McNerney is also a director of Procter & Gamble co. (PG) and serves as a trustee of Northwestern University and The Field Museum of Chicago.
