The Kinks In Studio
11/20/2009 3:57 PM ET The Kinks are in the studio for the first time since recording 1993's Phobia, playing around with some new songs. Frontman Ray Davies has enlisted original drummer Mick Avory and later members Jim Rodford and Ian Gibbons for the sessions. "We've got four, five new songs . . . and I'm just sort of getting them motivated and seeing what they're playing like, because I haven't played with the Kinks for eight or nine years," Davies told Billboard.

Who's Roger Daltrey Planning Autobiography
11/20/2009 2:38 PM ET Who frontman Roger Daltrey says he is planning to write an autobiography. The singer, who is currently on his Use It Or Lose It tour, said he feels that he has lived through enough experiences to write a memoir, though he admits he may not be ready to write about the more "salacious" stuff the public seems to be so interested in reading. "It's probably time," he said in an interview. "Just the story of my life and the things I've done, y'know, it's kind of interesting."

Joan Jett Says Kristen Stewart Does Her Own Singing In Runaways
11/20/2009 12:22 PM ET Joan Jett recently told MTV News that Kristen Stewart does all her own singing for her role as the "I Love Rock N' Roll" singer in the upcoming film, The Runaways. "She's singing. She's definitely doing the singing, yeah," Jett said. "And during the filming, she was playing guitar." Jett herself will not be appearing in the film - which is based on the all-girl '70s punk band she was in before her solo career took off - because she "didn't want to."

Elton John Concerts Officially Canceled
11/20/2009 11:13 AM ET Elton John has confirmed that he will not be rescheduling the U.K. shows he was forced to cancel late last month after being hospitalized with the flu and E coli. The canceled shows were part of the singer's Red Piano tour, and were supposed to take place October 23-28. They included performances at Sheffield Arena, Newcastle Metro Radio Arena, Wembley Arena and Liverpool Echo Arena. Ticket holders are advised to contact the company through which they purchased tickets to get a refund.
