Tetra Tech Q3 Profit Decreases; Guides Q4, Lifts FY10 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Tetra Tech Inc. (TTEK: News ) reported third-quarter net income of $20.6 million or $0.33 per share, compared with $31.0 million or $0.51 per share in the same quarter a year-ago.

On average, 17 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.30 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Quarterly revenue declined to $562.36 million from $551.37 million in the previous year quarter. Wall Street analysts expected revenues of $365.35 million.

Moving ahead, the company expects earnings per share for the fourth quarter to be in the range of $0.31 - $0.34 and revenue, net of subcontractor costs, of $370 million - $390 million. Street analysts estimate earnings of $0.32 per share on revenues of $381.02 million.

For fiscal 2010, Tetra Tech now expects earnings per share to be in the range of $1.17 - $1.20. Revenue, net of subcontractor costs, for fiscal 2010 is now expected to range from $1.41 billion to $1.43 billion. Street analysts expect earnings of $1.15 per share on revenue of $1.42 billion.
