Peter Gabriel has announced that his Live in Athens 1987, featuring an opening set by Senegalese star Youssou N'Dour, will be released on September 17.
The set, minus the performance by N'Dour, was previously released along with the 25th anniversary edition of So that hit last year. N'Dour is most well-known as the voice who accompanies Gabriel on the hit "In Your Eyes."
A presser for the release sets the stage of Gabriel's three-night stand, captured on film by director Michael Chapman:
"In October 1987 after many months on the road, it was in the elevated surroundings of the hillside open-air theatre at Lycabettus overlooking Athens, that the So tour came to a climactic close. Filmed over three nights, this was the first time Peter Gabriel set out to capture a full concert."
The package also contains the 23 original promotional videos for the set.
