Pearl Jam continue to expand their empire, this time by getting into the app game.
The band has announced a new app that will allow users to access music, news, merchandise and more. Entitled "Pearl Jam Official," the new app is now available as a free app on iTunes, and includes a timeline detailing the band's career milestones. The app also serves as an extension of the band's Ten Club membership program.
"The app was created to serve all Pearl Jam fans, but it also allows our official Ten Club members to log into their membership accounts on-the go," says Tim Bieman, Pearl Jam's Ten Club manager.
Pearl Jam will release their tenth studio album, Lightning Bolt on October 15. It is currently available for preorder.
