Montenegro's retail sales grew at a faster pace for the third consecutive month in June, data released by the Statistical Office of Montenegro showed on Monday.
Retail sales at constant prices grew 8.0 percent year-on-year in June, following a 6.0 rise in May. The rate of growth has been steadily increasing since March, when it fell to 4.3 percent. The latest increase was the strongest since January.
Excluding sales of motor fuel, retail sales grew 9.9 percent annually, after a 6.9 percent gain in May.
Sale of automotive fuel slumped 15.7 percent annually in June, while sales in non-specialised stores climbed 20.0 percent. Specialised stores witnessed a sales decline of 17.8 percent. Food, drink and tobacco sales gained 8.6 percent.
Month-on-month, retail sales grew 4.9 percent in June.
