Singapore Non-Oil Domestic Exports Fall 6.2%

Non-oil domestic exports in Singapore were down 6.2 percent on year in August, Statistics Singapore said on Tuesday, after contracting 1.9 percent in July.

On a monthly basis, NODX was down a seasonally adjusted 6.0 percent after dipping 1.8 percent in the previous month.

Seasonally adjusted, the level of NODX was S$13.5 billion in August, lower than the S$14.4 billion a month earlier.

Electronic NODX was down 9.2 percent on year in August after falling 1.1 percent in July. Non-electronic NODX lost an annual 4.7 percent after gaining 2.9 percent in the previous month.
