The Kinks' guitarist Dave Davies has announced a solo tour.

In the midst of rumors about a possible Kinks reunion to celebrate their 50th anniversary next year, Davies has revealed a short North American tour. The tour kicks off in New York City on November 12, with shows in Annapolis (MD), Englewood (NJ), Niagara Falls (NY), and Chicago (IL) before wrapping up on November 19 in Evanston (IL).

The 66-year-old will be playing older solo material and Kinks songs as well as new songs off his latest solo album,I Will Be Me, which was released in June.

Davies recently talked about the rumors of a Kinks anniversary tour, telling Rolling Stone: "I'd say the odds of that happening are 50/50. The ball is very much in [brother and Kinks member] Ray's court." He added, however, that new Kinks material is out of the question: "I can't face the concept of days and days in the studio with Ray. I just can't do it."
