Clay Walker has announced plans to host his fourth annual Chords of Hope benefit concert. The event is scheduled to take place on October 30 at the legendary Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. It will raise money for multiple sclerosis research.
The show will specifically benefit the MS Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Walker, who was diagnosed with MS in 1996, spoke on the fundraiser with CNN:
"This country boy decided he was not going down without a fight. With support from my family and friends, I realized that I needed to stop dwelling on being diagnosed with a chronic disease, and instead focus on finding a groove. To do that, I had to develop a routine to manage my condition, which helped me look forward for the first time since being diagnosed."
