Jack White's appearance on Charlie Rose has made its way online. White appeared alongside Revenant Records founder Dean Blackwood in order to discuss the recently released Paramount box set, The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records 1917-1932, Vol. 1.

The set features 800 songs, original ads from the era, two books, six 180-gram vinyl LPs, and includes music recorded by Louis Armstrong, Ma Rainey, Fletcher Henderson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Jelly Roll Morton and Ethel Waters, among others.

"It's an ambitious project," White said. "Just the case alone. When we were putting this together we said, 'let's do everything Paramount couldn't do, and didn't have the money to do.' Let's put everything into this that they didn't have the know-how or the means to do. This is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, music collections of all-time."

The elaborate case for the collection is made to look like a mobile phonograph case.
