Fast food chain Arby's purchased the Vivienne Westwood "Jelly Mould" hat worn by Pharrell Williams at the Grammys. The restaurant paid $44,100 for the head piece on eBay with proceeds going to the charity One Hand to AnOTHER.
Pharrell hit Twitter to thank the purchaser following the sale of the hat:
"Thank you to whoever bought my Grammy hat on @eBay for $44,100. Your donation benefits From One Hand To AnOTHER."
Arby's quickly responded: "@Pharrell You're welcome. We're HAPPY to support a great cause & get our hat back. Good luck at the #Oscars tonight!"
The organization was "established by Pharrell Williams for the sole purpose of supporting the Pharrell Williams Resource Centers' (PWRC) learning programs developed for every one of the underserved youth between the ages of 7 and 20 in at risk communities throughout the country," according to a statement from the org.
