Songs performed by Kenny Chesney and Jake Owen will be featured in the upcoming Broadway production of "Somewhere With You." The Peter Zinn directed musical boasts several songs written by country scribe JT Harding.
Chesney's number one hit "Somewhere With You" gave the play its name.
Harding has also written for Uncle Kracker, Keith Urban, Billy Currington and many others.
"Somewhere With You" centers on an aspiring country singer and recovering meth addict. The cast is made up of southerners growing up in the early aughts, facing challenges as the methamphetamine epidemic, the war in Iraq and a host of other pressing social issues.
The performances take place in the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre July 7-13.
