Shakira is slated to perform "La La La" featuring Brazilian artist /Carlinhos Brown during the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Also scheduled to appear is Shak's one time collaborator Wyclef, who'll team up with Alexandre Pires for "Dar Um Jeito," the Cup's main theme song.
"I have an intricate relationship with football for obvious reasons," Shakira whose partner is Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique, said in a statement.
"I just feel so grateful for the opportunity to come back to perform at the Closing Ceremony of this year's FIFA World Cup in Brazil, it feels right. The fans have shown the most incredible support for this song and I can't wait to perform it for them."
Brazilian singer Ivete Sangalo will also perform a medley of songs well known in her home country.
