New Zealand Credit Card Spending Rises At Slower Rate In June

New Zealand's credit card spending increased at a slower rate in June, data from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand showed Monday.

Total credit card billing grew 7 percent year-over-year in June following the 7.6 percent rise in May.

On a month-over-month basis, credit card spending rose 0.7 percent in June, slower than the 3.2 percent increase in May.

Total credit card outstanding advances was up 4.9 percent year-on-year in June, less than the 5.2 percent growth in May.

Compared to the previous month, outstanding balance rose 0.3 percent following the 0.6 percent increase in May.
