The first official trailer for Lifetime's upcoming Aaliyah biopic has been released.
Iggy Azalea's song, "Goddess," plays in the background as the soundtrack to the Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B trailer. One of the scenes in the trailer sees a producer sitting back in his chair, saying, "she's gonna be huge," referring Aaliyah.
The reason one of Aaliyah's song wasn't used for the trailer is because Lifetime was not allowed to license her catalog for the film.
Originally Zendaya Coleman was set to portray Aaliyah in the biopic, but later dropped out and was replaced by Alexandra Shipp.
Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B premieres on Lifetime Saturday, November 15 at 8 p.m.
