Spain HICP Unrevised In October

Spain's harmonised index of consumer prices, or HICP, declined as initially estimated in October, final data from the statistical office INE showed Thursday.

The HICP fell 0.2 percent annually in October, confirming the flash estimate. In September, the index had declined 0.3 percent.

Month-on-month, harmonized prices gained 0.1 percent as estimated in October.

Consumer prices fell 0.1 percent year-on-year after decreasing 0.2 percent in September. This was the fourth consecutive decrease in prices and matched flash estimate.

Underlying inflation remained stable at -0.1 percent in October.

On a month-over-month basis, consumer prices rose 0.5 percent following the 0.2 percent growth in September and August. This was also unrevised from the preliminary estimate.
