Corey Taylor says that he still loves music but hates the business that goes along with it, saying in a recent interview that it was those feelings that inspired Slipknot's latest single "Killpop."

Taylor told WGRD's Johnnie and Ned in Grand Rapids that the track was just mostly him venting.

"I'll be honest with you, the song is my reflection on my relationship with music. That's who the she is. And not just music, the music industry in general. There's a love hate relationship there that really come into view. There's the old adage 'be careful what you wish for' and 'be careful doing what you love' because sometimes it will turn on you. Anytime you mix something you love with business, you're going to find the rusty cracks in there that piss you off."

He adds, "That song is really about how much I love making music, but also how much I hate the business side, the numbers side and the people in suits who try to run stuff. Having to deal with them and having to learn how to talk to them. It's frustrating sometimes but it is what it is. Luckily we got a great song out of it."
