Lil Wayne has announced that fans can expect to see his long anticipated album Free Weezy on July 4. Weezy initially said that fans could expect the album to be released this past February.
He made the announcement during a club appearance in Anaheim, California. "I got a new album coming out. It's called FWA. It'll be out Fourth of July," he told the crowd.
Free Weezy will serve as Wayne's first album since 2013's I Am Not A Human Being 2. The album title is a play off of Wayne's real life legal battle with Birdman and Cash Money Records.
Earlier this week, the rapper announced that he had signed on with Tidal. Jay Z's streaming service also released his recent track "Glory."
