Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Settle Lawsuit With Former Nanny

Mariah Carey has settled a lawsuit filed by a former nanny who claimed that she, along with her then-hubby Nick Cannon, treated her like a slave and forced her to work more than 100 hours a week without overtime.

The nanny, Simonette DaCosta, claimed in the suit, which was filed in January of this year, that Carey and Cannon forced her to rotate between working shifts of seven 12-hour days and five 24-hour days. She says she was paid $3,000 to $3,600 twice monthly from October 2013 through late January 2014 before being canned for being "too affectionate" with the couple's toddler twins.

The amount of the settlement of DaCosta's Manhattan federal suit was not disclosed, and neither side's lawyers have returned calls for an official comment.
