Keith Urban has released the lyric video for "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16," the lead single from his upcoming album.
The lyrics see Urban in an impressionistic mode.
"I'm Mark Twain on the Mississippi / I'm Hemingway with a shot of whiskey / I'm a TV dinner on the tray trying to figure out the Wheel of Fortune / I'm a Texaco star, I'm a Gibson guitar / I'm still a teenage kid trying to go too far / I'm a jukebox waiting in a neon bar for a quarter."
Urban debuted the tune at the CMT Awards earlier this month, playing, to the surprise of some, bass instead of guitar, as his wife Nicole Kidman looked on miming the words.
Urban's latest album currently has no release date.
