Dave Grohl made his return to the stage in a massive metal throne for the band's 20th anniversary concert at Washington D.C.'s RFK Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The singer was also wearing a cast on his right leg which was fractured last month in a stage fall.
Nonetheless, the Foos plowed through a hit-filled set list featuring fan favorites like "Everlong," "Monkey Wrench," "Learn to Fly" and "Big Me," while covering the 1981 Queen and David Bowie collab "Under Pressure."
While on stage, Grohl revealed that he designed the iron throne while in the hospital, high on oxycontin.
"I was as high as a kite when I drew that," he laughed, adding that his original design featured lasers shooting from the top of the throne. The final product swapped rotating lights for lasers.
