Coldplay will use the audio clip of president Barack Obama singing at a funeral on "A Head Full of Dreams," the title track from their upcoming album. Obama sang a bit of "Amazing Grace" during the funeral service for reverend Clementa C. Pinckney, who was gunned down in the Charleston church shooting earlier this year.

"We have a tiny clip of the president singing 'Amazing Grace' at that church," Chris Martin told The Sun.

"Because of the historical significance of what he did and also that song being about, 'I'm lost but now I'm found'."

The Sun noted that both the White House and Emanuel A.M.E. Church gave permission for the recording's use.

A Head Full of Dreams lands on December 4.
