Courtney Love has offered her support for Justin Bieber's decision to wear a Nirvana shirt to the American Music Awards on Sunday night. The Bieb's fashion decision upset some fans of the band who lashed out via social media.

Love, however, hit Twitter to give Justin props.

"You're cool in my book @justinbieber xc," she wrote.

Bieber played a three song set at the AMAs, including two cuts - "What Do U Mean" and "Sorry" - from his latest album Purpose.

Recently, the pop star announced his Purpose World Tour. The new 58-date trek, in support of his upcoming new studio album Purpose, kicks off March 9 in Seattle and travels to arenas across North America, with stops in Vancouver, Las Vegas, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and Miami. The itinerary also includes two-night stints at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, Los Angeles' Staples Center, Chicago's Allstate Arena, and Toronto's Air Canada Centre. The tour wraps July 18 at New York City's Madison Square Garden.
