Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding, Lady Gaga Receive 2016 Golden Globes Nominations

Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding and Lady Gaga have all received 2016 Golden Globes nominations.

Gaga is nominated for Best TV Actress for her role as The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel. Queen Latifah will also be going up against Gaga for her role in HBO's Bessie.

Smith is nominated in the Best Original Song category for his Bond theme, "Writing's On The Wall," which was created for Spectre. Goulding is also nominated in the category for her 50 Shades of Grey track, "Love Me Like You Do."

The Golden Globes, which are taking place on January 10, celebrate the best in film and television. Ricky Gervais will serve as the host at this year's ceremony.
