Madonna has opened up about her marriage with actor Sean Penn and says that he never once physically hit her during their marriage. The statement came in the form of a court submission filed by Madge on Penn's behalf for his ongoing defamation suit against Empire co-creator Lee Daniels.
Penn filed the suit after Daniels gave an interview in which he suggested that Penn was, in some ways, like Terrence Howard, who was recently accused for assault.
"[Terrence] ain't done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of a sudden he's some f—in' demon," Daniels told THR at the time. "That's a sign of the time, of race, of where we are right now in America."
Penn quickly filed suit after the comments were published and is reportedly asking 10 million dollars in damages.
