Sales of Scott Weiland's music have reportedly skyrocketed in the weeks following his death. The former Stone Temple Pilots rocker was found dead while on tour with his band in Bloomington, Minnesota, on December 3.
According to Billboard, eight of the top ten songs on their Hard Rock Digital Songs chart were held by one of the bands formerly fronted by Weiland.
The leading song of that bunch was the STP track "Plush," which racked up 18,000 downloads.
His passing has also brought a resurgence in sales numbers for STP albums. Their greatest hits collection Thank You moved 17,000 units, good enough to push it into the number 47 spot on the 200 chart. Their classic release Core also moved 7,000 units, pushing it to number 145 last week.
