A rare Smiths song has unexpectedly appeared on a Morrissey fan site. The track, titled "Never Had No One Ever" appeared earlier this week on the site Morrissey-solo.com and was allegedly recorded as part of the sessions for the album The Queen Is Dead.
The newly released rarity comes at a fruitful time for Smiths fans. Actor James Franco and collaborator Tim O'Keefe recently launched a Smiths tribute project called Daddy, which will also feature Smiths bassist Andy Rourke.
"We are really excited to partner with Kobalt on our upcoming Daddy album and film," Franco and O'Keefe said of the news. "Kobalt has the right forward-thinking approach to work with a project as unique as ours, where we see our work not only existing within the music realm, but extending into the film, art space and beyond on an independent basis."
