A rare Beatles record sold at auction for £77,500 in the U.K. earlier this month. The recording is a 10-inch acetate record with the songs "Till There Was You" on one side and "Hello Little Girl" on the other. It had previously been found in the apartment of Gerry and the Pacemakers keyboardist Les Maguire.

The recording is believed to have been cut to acetate at the HMV store on Oxford Street in London before the band had even broken into the U.K. singles chart.

It was labeled by their legendary manager Brian Epstein and mismarked with the word "till" spelled "til" and "hello" as "hullo."

The first side of the record also gives credit to "Paul McCartney & the Beatles," with the second side giving credit to "John Lennon & the Beatles."

It was reportedly the demo recording given to George Martin in hopes of signing the Beatles to EMI.
