Japan had a current account surplus of 2.434 trillion yen in February, the Ministry of Finance said on Friday.
That topped forecasts for a surplus of 2.011 trillion yen following the 520.8 billion yen surplus in January.
The trade surplus was 425.2 billion yen - exceeding expectations for 398.0 billion yen following the 411.0 billion deficit in the previous month.
