Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has the revealed that the group's forthcoming release should be out sometime this year. It will be their first new offering since 2008's Death Magnetic and Ulrich opened up about the new release while speaking with Billboard.
"I think it's going to get wrapped up soon," Ulrich said.
"Unless something radical happens it would be difficult for me to believe that it won't come out in 2016. It's definitely coming along. Nearing completion. Should be done soon . . . hopefully."
The band's co-manager Peter Mensch had also previously spoken about the album's due date saying that it will arrive "probably later in the year."
