Producer prices in Japan were up 0.2 percent on year in March, the Bank of Japan said on Monday - unchanged from the previous month and in line with expectations.
On a monthly basis, prices climbed 0.6 percent following the flat reading in February.
Among the individual components, prices were up for communications, advertising and security; they were down for real estate and leasing.
For the first quarter of 2016, prices were up 0.2 percent on year and down 0.2 percent on quarter.
