Another year, another platinum album for Beyoncé.
The RIAA has confirmed that Beyoncé has gone platinum for the sixth time with her latest powerhouse album, Lemonade. The tweet released by the RIAA, revealed that Beyoncé is one of the few artists to have achieved this honor, and congratulated her.
Lemonade sold 653,000 album units in the week following its drop and came in at number one on the Billboard 200 in April. All twelve of the album's powerhouse tracks appeared on the Hot 100 list, making Queen Bey the first female artist to chart 12 plus songs consecutively.
Currently in the midst of her worldwide Formation tour, the artist took to Twitter this week to thank the city of New York and Citi Field for two incredible shows.
