Little Big Town announced during a special press conference on November 1 that "Better Man," the lead single off of their upcoming album, was written by Taylor Swift. The group explained that they did not want to reveal who had written the song before people had a chance to listen to it.
"She sent us this song and it was one that was really special to her and she thought of us because of the harmonies," Karen Fairchild said. "She's never pitched a song to somebody before. The moment that we heard it, we were like 'man, that is the song that we're gonna cut."
Little Big Town also announced that they will be playing six nights at the Ryman Auditorium to help celebrate its 125th Anniversary. Their residency at the venue will begin on February 24, the same day that their new album The Breaker will be released.
