The unemployment rate in Australia was unchanged at a seasonally adjusted 5.9 percent in March, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.
That was in line with estimates and unchanged from the February reading.
The Australian economy added 60,900 jobs last month - shattering expectations for a gain of 20,000 following the loss of 6,400 jobs in the previous month.
The participation rate climbed to 64.8 percent - beating forecasts for 64.6 percent, which would have been unchanged.
