Federal Reserve Leaves Interest Rates Unchanged

Following a two-day meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee, the Federal Reserve on Wednesday announced its widely expected decision to leave interest rates unchanged.

In view of realized and expected labor market conditions and inflation, the Fed said it decided to maintain the target range for the federal funds rate at 1.75 to 2 percent.
