Soldier Wounded In Shooting At Canadian Parliament - Reports

A soldier was been wounded in a shooting spree outside and inside the Canadian parliament in Ottawa on Wednesday.

Reports quoting witnesses said a gunman opened fire at a soldier standing guard at the Ottawa War Memorial in the parliament's vicinity, and then running toward the government buildings, where more shots were heard.

The parliament is under lock-down after the incident, which occurred at 9:52 am local time. No others are injured in the attack, Canadian media reported.

Unconfirmed reports quoting Canadian MPs said the gunman was shot dead.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is safe, and has left the Parliament Hill, his Office said.
