Shares of Totally plc (TLY.L) gained around 18 percent in the morning trade in London after the provider of services to the healthcare sector announceTuesday that its unit Totally Health Limited has been approached to work in partnership with charity The British Lung Foundation or BLF. Revenues from this contract are expected to amount to about 65 thousand pounds over the 12 month period of the contract.
The deal is to undertake a clinical health coaching programme focused on reducing readmissions to hospital and promoting self care for people diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or COPD. Totally Health's contract will be with BLF which will in turn contract with Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group.
During the course of the programme, Totally Health will work with a maximum of 20 patients diagnosed with COPD per month. This will be over a 12 month period, to help avoid readmission to hospital and to assist patients with better managing their own conditions. BLF will provide on the ground support to patients in addition to that provided by Totally Health.
In London, Totally shares were trading at 0.295 pence, up 18 percent.
