Jennifer Nettles performed the "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Churchill Downs on Saturday afternoon, prior to the start of the 2019 Kentucky Derby.
Nettles performed the national anthem in front of an estimated 160,000 fans at Churchill Downs, while thousands more watched from home.
The singer took to Instagram to post about her pink Arturo Rios-designed hat, writing, "What a treat. I don't know, is my fascinator big enough?"
Nettles is only the 11th star to perform the National Anthem at the Kentucky Derby.
Previously, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Jo Dee Messina, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes and more stars have sung the national anthem.
"Jennifer Nettles is a country music and vocal powerhouse," Churchill Downs Racetrack President Kevin Flanery said when announcing Nettles' performance.
He added, "We are excited and honored for her to perform our National Anthem for the millions of viewers and fans around the world who tune in on Derby day."
